Writing is a Process
Most people think that you can sit down and write the perfect book or article in a simple process. That is all wrong! Writing is a process and the better that you understand the process, the more control and enjoyment you’ll get out of your writing.
There are six steps in the writing process and are below as follows:
Planning – This means thoroughly thinking about what you’re going to write and what ideas you can come up with.
Shaping – This means organizing your material into meaning or a purpose.
Drafting – This means writing your text or material into sentences and paragraphs.
Revising – This means checking your work and rewriting it by making it “tighter.” As an example, adding words, deleting phrases or words or rearrangement.
Editing – This means checking for grammar errors, miss-spelled words, or punctuation errors.
Proofreading – This means reading the final work to be sure it is correct.
I’m currently considering writing a few series on writing correctly, and things that writers should look out for. It doesn’t matter what type of writing that you do, whether it is writing articles, books or simple blogging. Your “reader audience” will either love you or hate you on what and how you write!
You want the work that you produce to be what they love to read, without mistakes and material that interest them. Keep this website book marked because you will love what it is all about.
